Our boys have been blessed to have 3 sets of wonderful caring grandparents that love them to pieces, and in turn, spoil them like crazy at Christmas!! It makes me wonder why Chris and I even bothered to get them anything at all, and truthfully, we only bought them each One big present from Santa, and some little stocking stuffer type things from us. We decided not to give them the Leapsters and games we had bought them, since they are already overwhelmed with NEW stuff, and will save those for their birthdays instead - Duncan will be 5 in April, and Matthew will be 4 in July and Joey will be 2 somewhere in between - it's all a big blur of birthdays in the spring.....I of course will be 29 again for the 6th or 7th year in a row....
So here in glorious detail is a taste of my children's dream Christmas! It was a wonderful feeling to see them get excited about each gift - to the point where they didn't want to open any more, but simply wanted to play with the gift they just opened.
The biggest hit of all of course was the bike, from Santa for Duncan(which we actually got in red, not yellow)
and of course the tool generator set for Matthew (also from Santa)
Coming in close on the heels of popularity are the following:

The swirling sawdust workshop pictured above had a defective table saw when we put it altogether - I called the company toll free hotline, and they are FED-EX-ing me a replacement part right away and gave me the tracking number- so I just want to give a thumbs up to Little Tikes - for their awesome customer service, and quick resolution. We will definitely buy their products again!
Other cool toys are:
An interactive Desk - That we have put together, and tried out (pretty cool) - Duncan has requested that we put this in his room which I am happy to oblige! It fits him just perfectly.
A remote Control Lincoln Navigator - This is one of Matthew's joys but mummy is having fun with it too - it's super fast, and is actually better than the one pictured below because it has red lights that glow underneath it. I think it's 27.5MHz so it works pretty far away too.
A hot wheels set (actually 3 sets)

And just so you don't think wee Joey was left out - The oblivious little chap was equally spoiled with the mother of all bath toys
A fisher Price Little People Noah's Ark set (that's not him in the pic)
And his own Tigger Plush Chair so that the other boys don't push him out of theirs.
Of course not pictured is all the stocking stuffers, smaller toys;vacuums, Dora dolls, spinners, walkie talkies, books, jammies (5 pairs EACH), sippie cups, clothes and candy, which they all agreed made an excellent breakfast, and post turkey dessert.
Did I leave anything out? Probably.
Thankyou to everyone who helped to make this the best Christmas ever for the kids! Aside from the MANY presents, I think we gave the kids something more valuable - which is memories of a happy Christmas weekend with family, piles of food, and lots of smiles, laughter and joy, and the knowledge of the true meaning of Christmas - although they are really quite preoccupied with all the toys right now. ;)

arggg!! I just erased my long comment, so I'll just say that Mikaylah got the same Noah's ark! We gave it to her last year but she never got around to opening it so we stuffed it back in her closet and regifted it this year!! glad you had such a memoral day(s) of celebration!

Got rid of our old broken toys! Great idea! You know that work bench has a LOT of little pieces!! If your boys are like mine, even if you have a conatainer they WILL lose them, and you will step on them..:).. HA!
That is cool about Hot wheels. My son, Isaac, LOVES Hot wheels.. He carries around a hot wheel carrier every where he goes. He is VERY possessive of it. i bought him 2 hot wheel movies.. HE IS OBSESSSED WITH THEM. He sings the songs etc..
My oldest who has aspergers has been obsessed with spiderman and literally thinks he will BE spiderman when he grows up. He used to think he ACTUALLY WAS spiderman when he was 3. Now he is almost 7 and can't seem to shake the spiderman obsession!
Of course i don't help Isaac (the one with autism).. I sing the Hot wheel song with him.. AND I play with the remote control stuff they got for Christmas too.

Where in the world did you find that hot wheels starter set? That's exactly what we were looking for for Zachary and cannot find something like it ANYWHERE! That's all Zachary wanted for Xmas was a new racetrack.
